We are delighted to welcome Ajaz Ahmed (Chairman) and James Hilton (Creative Director) of creative agency AKQA to come and talk for us.

AKQA specialises in interactive marketing and have created some of the most influential and iconic work for brands such as Nike, Xbox, VW, Heineken, Audi and Virgin. They work ranges from TV advertisements to website design and iPhone and iPad apps.

Ajaz and James also have a pretty inspirational story; they started AKQA back in 2001 when they were only 21 and the company know employs over 1,000 people internationally and has won the Agency of the Year title more times than any other company.

In their talk Ajaz and James will share the insights, work and stories that have helped propel AKQA to become the most innovative digital in the industry. There will also be an opportunity for questions during and after the event.

Digital marketing is increasingly taking up more and more of campaign budgets so an insight into how it works will be invaluable to those planning to go into the industry. Equally, students who currently make apps and websites or want to do this in the future would make a great contact in AKQA.

As always all are welcome to attend, but this event is FREE to AdSoc members, otherwise £2 on the door.
