Come and hear Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP, TOMORROW

AdSoc is excited to announce that very soon one of the advertising industry’s biggest names, Sir Martin Sorrell, will be coming to speak in Oxford. The event will be hosted by AdSoc and the Oxford Union and will be held on Monday of third week at 5pm. That’s October 22.

Sir Martin Sorrell became CEO of WPP in 1986, which has since grown to be the world’s largest advertising and marketing services group. By revenues it is the world’s largest advertising company and it employs about 162,000 people in 3,000 offices across 110 countries.

Within the WPP group are a number of well-known advertising, PR and market research networks including Hill & Knowlton, JWT and Ogilvy Group.

Sir Martin is also an adviser for various international business schools, including Harvard and the London School of Business. His public recognition has earned him a number of awards, including a knighthood in January 2000.

This is set to be a fantastic event and invaluable to any students considering a career in advertising, PR and marketing. It’s certainly not often that people have the chance to hear and meet someone with as much experience and clout in the advertising industry as WPP’s CEO.

So save the date and start thinking up questions you want ask Sir Martin. You never know, there might even be a drinks session afterwards.
