AKQA Event: “The future inspires us. We work to inspire.”

On Monday of 8th week, we are really excited to welcome AKQA back to Oxford. Co-founders James Hilton and Ajaz Ahmed are coming to talk about the ideas behind their best-selling book,’Velocity: The Seven New Laws for a World Gone Digital’.

Here is the rundown:

AKQA specialise in creating digital services, products, communications and experiences. Having set up the company when they were 21, James and Ajaz have a very inspiring story about building an incredibly successful company in a fast-changing environment and sometimes economically turbulent times. Their clients include Nike, Fiat, Audi, Warner Brothers, Dorling Kindersley, Unilever and MTV.

International recognition for its creative excellence has earned the agency numerous industry awards, including 19 Agency of the Year titles. Last year, AKQA won Digital Agency of the Year honours in both the US (Adweek) and the UK (Campaign) and collected five Cannes Lions.

It is an exciting time for the company as they embark on a new journey as part of WPP and further expansion into new markets; they have just opened a new office in Tokyo.

James and Ajaz are great speakers and love meeting young people. Their passion for their work is infectious and it is actually pretty rare to see them in the same room, so come along and make the most of a great opportunity.
